Are you expecting a baby soon? Have a million questions about what to expect?

After over 7 years as a professional postpartum doula, the most consistent feedback I’ve received has emphasized how much my clients value the education I provided during our prenatal planning and postpartum shifts. I created this new parent education course to consolidate this knowledge and package it in an accessible way, allowing me to reach more families to arm them with the knowledge I wish I had when I was a new parent.

New Parent Essentials This 3-class series will help prepare you for this monumental change in your life. Increase your confidence in knowing what to expect.

#1 Understanding Your Newborn Learn about newborn appearance, behavior, and soothing techniques. You’ll leave this class knowing what normal newborn behavior is, how to identify your baby’s needs, and equipped with multiple soothing tools to use once your baby is born.

#2 Postpartum Healing and Infant Feeding Gain knowledge about postpartum healing, childbirth trauma, and mental health complications. You’ll learn how to recognize problems and know what to do if it happens to you or your partner. Understand the basics of breastfeeding, alternative infant feeding options and how they support breastfeeding, and how to identify infant feeding problems along with options for help.

#3 Postpartum Brain and Body Understand why brain changes occur during pregnancy and postpartum. Learn how to eat to support postpartum healing and recovery. You’ll leave with an individualized postpartum plan, ready to set yourself up for a peaceful postpartum adjustment.

All classes start at 10 AM and take place in the Tom Collins Conference Room at Modern Work Suites and Studios, 8790 F St. Omaha NE

Each class runs approximately 2 hours in length, light refreshments provided.

"Becky brings such lovely wisdom and care with her wraparound support for parents. Her education support before our baby's arrival empowered us to trust ourselves and each other as parents, and her postpartum support was so grounding when we needed it the most. Becky's support allowed us to pause and make space to identify what we needed in those foggy first weeks postpartum. She helped us ground, care for ourselves, and rest as a couple while she held our baby and tended to our home. She brings the care of the village that we all need and deserve in a world where it feels like we have to go it alone. We are so grateful for her and the ways she cared for our family. Thank you Becky!"

'I have had Becky help out with both my children and will be hiring again if we have another! It provided me so much peace of mind knowing she would be coming to help care for my little ones. It gave me a break to workout, shower, or just sit and snuggle while she cooked and meal prepped. She also provided helpful tips on how to calm baby, baby wear, and more. Overall, it helped me be more confident! Because I was confident and relaxed, I ENJOYED the baby phase which means I spent my time bonding with baby, instead of stressed and exhausted-how invaluable!"

"Having Becky for support after I gave birth to my first baby was a huge blessing. She supported me in so many ways, from listening and talking about my birth story and experiences so far with my baby, to preparing nourishing meals, to gently holding and rocking my baby when I needed to care for myself, to providing wonderful information about my newborn. While I had turned to Becky for support in things like meals and caring for baby when I needed to be free, and wasn’t seeking as much education, she was wonderful in gently educating me and I learned so much about my baby through her care- that I didn’t even realize I needed to learn! She helped me be a responsive and nurturing mother who respects her baby’s needs and communication. Becky was a respectful and efficient presence in my home and I am so grateful I turned to her for support. I will definitely be asking her to return should I be blessed with another baby someday."

“Becky was wonderful for my postpartum time. I am a second time mom and was unsure if a postpartum doula was for me, but after our first session both my husband and I agreed that she was just what we needed to settle into the newborn time again and feel less stressed. Becky really cares and we really got to know her and bond throughout her time with us. I highly recommend Becky and if you are on the fence about a postpartum doula, do it!”

"I had a very traumatic delivery. I spent many a weeks in the hospital and many more at home recovering. Becky was a godsend to my family and I. She made me feel not worthless, during a time that I felt completely worthless and incompetent. She helped me find peace in my journey, which ultimately allowed me to heal. She helped me be a mom, during a time that I was so extremely limited in what I could and could not do. She helped keep my house organized, gave me time to rest (actually encouraged it), fed my daughter so I could eat myself. She did so much..that I’m forever grateful for."

“Becky is a lifesaver. She came into my home and took care of me and my family like she had known us her whole life. She has open arms full of love and support for babies and parents alike and I couldn't be more thankful to her for helping us. She's a wonderful person who gives of her time and talents and wants nothing more than for the parents to enjoy that time to sink into bonding with their baby and for that I couldn't be more grateful. She has a huge, gracious heart and is a gem in this world and I'm so glad to know her! Thanks, Becky!”

"She was above and beyond helpful! She spent time talking when I wanted to talk and had great suggestions for what I talked about. I very much enjoyed having extra meals ready for me throughout the week, and I enjoyed the company and someone to talk to since I haven’t seen much of the outside world the last few weeks."

"Becky is amazing! She supported our family after the birth of our second child and was masterful at helping our older son adjust to life with a new baby. She gave us so many great tips! This is probably the biggest reason why our oldest loves his little brother so much. If you've experienced or are at-risk for PPD, please consider hiring Becky. Her practical care and constant support will make a huge difference and help you focus on bonding, not just surviving. Can't say enough good things about Becky!"

"Becky is a postpartum treasure! Even after thinking I would know what to expect with the birth of my 3rd child, my husband and I quickly found ourselves overwhelmed with the day-to-day as new parents of three. My older children wanted more attention, and my newborn needed to bond with her mom. Trying to split time myself only left me feeling like I was failing everyone. Becky brought some balance back into our home. She was able to simultaneously give my older kids some fun-filled, new adventures while also nurturing my baby and me. I was able to relax and finally focus on healing since I knew everyone was in her loving, capable hands. I would highly recommend consulting with Becky whether this is your first baby or your fifth! She can make the family adjustment period so much easier and much more enjoyable, which is truly priceless."

"Becky is very knowledgeable. She is support in many ways... from knowledge sharing about all things baby related to post partum info to helping with household duties and even caring for the baby so you're able to take time for yourself. She is thoughtful, efficient and passionate about what she does. I am still appreciating things I learned from her 4 months after she helped us!"

“Becky was fantastic! We hired her for overnight help with our first little one. You're always nervous about inviting someone into your home, but Becky put us at ease. She is highly qualified and did a great job of taking care of our baby. I always looked forward to the nights she came because I knew I would get a good nights rest. Can't wait to hire her again when/if we have more kids! 10/10 recommend.”
